In 2000, Northern Virginia was suffering a drought of fresh, flavorful Southwestern-inspired food. The Coyote Grille set its mission to change all that and opened its first location in the heart of Fairfax, Virginia. With a one-of-a-kind fresh made menu, handcrafted cocktails, a lively dining room, friendly service, and the coolest all-season patio in Fairfax, this local favorite has elevated Southwestern food in the minds of a once-flavor thirsty community. We welcome diners for lunch and dinner as well as the best Sunday brunch in Fairfax.
Come into Coyote Grille Fairfax and meet the friendliest pack of wait staff and bar servers in Northern Virginia. Our highly trained team is eager to make your visit the highlight of your day – every day. We’re not sure why this group is so happy all the time, though we suspect it’s the food- fajitas, carnitas, and grilled fish tacos – they can’t decided what they like best. But you can. Come on by for a fresh meal and if you need a suggestion, because like them you just can’t decide, ask – they’ll take care of you.
Juan Carlos Balderrama
“The kitchen feels like my home,” says Coyote Grille Executive Chef Juan Balderrama. And for the past 12 years, this master of hot sauces, fusion flavors, and fresh food perfection has been overseeing the restaurant menu and Coyote Grille catering to rave reviews. Balderrama says, “I was first inspired to cook by my mother who always took great care even with the simplest meals.” However, the chef’s skills are anything but simple having honed them at D.C’s Occidental Grill and Jaleo before taking over the Coyote Grille kitchen. Chef Balderrama believes in harmony in the kitchen from the combination of fresh ingredients that go into each and every dish to the complementary skills of his staff. He invites customers to experience his new Southwestern-inspired tapas along with Coyote Grille’s classic menu favorites.
