Our highly trained team is eager to make your visit the highlight of your day – every day. We’re not sure why this group is so happy all the time, though we suspect it’s the food- fajitas, carnitas, and grilled fish tacos – they can’t decide what they like best. But you can. Come on by for a fresh meal and if you need a suggestion because like them you just can’t decide, ask – they’ll take care of you.
Since 2002, Coyote Grille owner Tatjana Farr has said hello over 100,000 times to guests to her popular Fairfax City restaurant. That’s a lot of good cheer and a genuine spirit that has made the Coyote Grille a fixture for great food, friendly service, and a community landmark. Farr, a Fairfax, Virginia native has combined her love of food and entrepreneurial spirit into a mainstay of the Northern Virginia landscape with the Coyote Grille in Fairfax. Her community involvement and leadership have benefitted the entire Northern Virginia area as she and her staff work to support community events and local schools. Today her restaurant and growing catering business employ close to 30 people, and as an entrepreneur, she is always looking at new opportunities.
“We treat everyone coming into the restaurant as a first time VIP,” says Joshua Alexander, Coyote Grille Regional Manager. And he means it. Alexander’s first time at the restaurant close to 10 years ago was as a customer. He remembers sitting down with friends and being instantly greeted by owner Tatjana Farr and her staff who “knew everyone coming through the door.” As Regional Manager, Alexander is responsible for maintaining that constant high level of service, quality of food, and neighborhood atmosphere that has secured the restaurants’ place in the community. Whether he is welcoming a crowd of regulars to lunch, a family to Sunday brunch, or coordinating Coyote Grille’s catering department, Alexander’s commitment to a great experience every time is one of the reasons customers keep coming back.
Randall Henderson is our local Mixologist and Bar Manager. Randy has been with the company since 2009 when he pulled our GM Joshua Alexander out of a snow bank on Roberts Rd. This random act of kindness brought our team together. Josh knew right away that Randy had a good heart and he put him to work. Randy tended bar with us up until he took over the bar in our sister restaurant in Centreville. There he learned the skills necessary to run a bar efficiently. Randy then took a sabbatical to go learn the trades of Mixology and work with the distributors. He has since become a level 2 WSET (sommelier) and has honed his cocktail crafting skills. He rejoined us in February 2018 and has already created the Grilled Pineapple Margarita, The Coyote Colada, and our newest Mango Margarita topped with toasted cumin seeds. With his focus of farm to table and local is better we look forward to seeing the great changes he has in store for us in the future!!
